2017 Rome Convention – update

Another update on the progress with next year’s convention has been posted to the Serra Italy website – in Italian, of course! Here are a few points from what Google translate gives for the summary of the 9th November meeting.

  1. There will be a private audience with Pope Francis in the morning on 23rd June 2017.
  2. The convention will be based at Ergife Palace Hotel, where a chapel will be made available for Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
  3. The theme is “Siempre adelante: The Courage of Vocation”.
  4. Currently being worked on are: the speakers, liturgical celebrations, organisation of the Assembly of delegates, time for cultural visits.

The next meeting is scheduled for after end of the liturgical year.

2017 Serra International Convention – Rome, Italy

The first working meeting to organise next year’s convention has been held in Rome last week. As announced at the last international convention in St Louis, Missouri, the next convention will be held between 22nd- 25th June 2017 in Rome, Italy.

The theme of the convention is “risveglio della coscienza serrana” – which an internet translation tells me is “Awakening Serran Conciousness” or “Awakening Serran Awareness.” If anyone does understand Italian, please let me know what the theme really is!

More information can be found (in Italian) on the Serra International Italy website.
